My name is Nicola and I’m an Assistant Producer at a TV production company called Little Gem in London. I wanted to get in touch with you as I’m currently working on a brand new documentary series for Sky that will tell the story of 6 families over 5 years of their life. I would love to reach out to your local community, so thought you might be a great person to speak to!

We’re currently looking for families who’d like to be a part of this exciting new project and hope to capture their dreams, ambitions and the journeys that they go on but also the changes that will happen to the world and surroundings that we live in. We want to embrace the uplifting, challenging and universal experiences of family life that we can all relate to, from young people not flying the nest to weddings on the horizon. Perhaps there are some families doing amazing things within your local area e.g. in local business, community work, events or sporting families?

With this in mind, I wondered whether you might be able to help me share this information, to let people know of the chance to be a part of this ground-breaking documentary series.

This is a fantastic opportunity for families across the UK to have a unique once in a lifetime film about their family – a home movie that they can pass on to generations to come – made by some of Britain’s best documentary filmmakers.

It would be great if you could help spread the word via means that is suitable such as email, newsletter, website or social media posts. Please do also feel free to pass onto your colleagues, friends or family to help. Perhaps you know someone whose family we should be talking to, if so, please do send this on to them and we have a programme flyer that I’m more than happy to send across.
