Preferred Option 5 – Amenities Centre and Old School both renovated
Maryburgh Community Council is currently in discussion with Highland Council about taking over the community land and Maryburgh School site for community use.
The Business Case submitted at the end of 2013 was drawn up with financially viable options for the site. This Business Case has been approved by Highland Council and Maryburgh Amenities Company has been given until December 2014 to prepare and submit a fully developed and costed business plan which demonstrates sustainability.
Last year conceptual plans of 5 different options were prepared in support of the Business Case. Option 5 has now been selected as the preferred option and the Maryburgh Futures Group will be developing the full business plan over the next 11 months based on this option.
